Galapagos Islands are islands in the Pacific Ocean that have about 20,000 residents living in the islands, and numerous unique species that were studied by Darwin during his trip on the islands. Because of the high biodiversity, the islands are made into whale sanctuary and are included into UNESCO’s World Heritage Site list. Some of the unique animals in the islands are Marine Iguana, Blue-footed Booby, Sea Lions, and Waved Albatross. Other animals in the islands are the Galapagos Penguins, penguins that live in tropical areas, Galapagos Mockingbirds, and Galapagos Land Iguanas, among others.
