Since online education is getting more main stream, there are some misconceptions that need to become discussed about where it’s been, what it is presently, and what it will become later on. I had the incredible privilege of attending a conventional school for my undergrad studies. Nothing can compare in order to those four years in my opinion. They helped make me who I’m and are the best memories that I possess. However, I also went the internet education route for move on school. There were many causes of this which I will touch on inside a minute, but the main point was it allowed me the freedom to operate full time and visit school. The flexibility was most significant.
Many people thing that you don’t learn the same whilst attending online education while you would in a conventional school. Along with this they feel it’s easier. I disagree. I think it depends upon how you learn and can apply your knowledge. I had difficulty taking tests in university and usually did poorly in it. However, essays and documents always helped my levels. When I learned which with my Master’s it might be 90% writing I had been ecstatic. It was a means for me to utilize my knowledge and display my professors my interpretation on which they were teaching.
Another misconception which i have heard is which online education is much less engaging. I disagree. Obviously, I can only speak for that school that I went to online, but our instructors were very engaging. Actually, I had a better relationship together than I did with my teachers in the traditional school. This happens because they constantly see your projects. Every week you possess multiple assignments due. You’re also in a scaled-down class. They know your learning style and can give you feedback. I also found it simpler to participate and ask queries. I never asked the question in class inside my traditional school. I had been always afraid of exactly what others were thinking or even saying. However online you’ve the freedom to sit down behind a screen and for many that empowers them in order to speak up.
Another major concern is that employers don’t accept these schools. Increasingly more we find people returning to school trying in order to advance their degree or even their career. Online education makes this feasible for some and employers notice that. The thing to make certain is that your college is accredited.
