Release the Hostage

March 19, 2010 by

One of the hostages, according to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, a person is a party in a conflict as a pledge pending the fulfillment of an agreement or a person taken by force to influence the customer claims or someone who is involuntarily by an external control safely.

Someone who is a hostage? You May It could be you!

Are you a hostage in your own practice? The number one hostage-taker in your practice is hesitation. You could hostage by your T.E.A.M. And often, you are taken hostage by his own family and friends.

At the beginning of a hostage is looking for ways to break down and then over time the more they are held hostage, they lose their will to escape and are in the rut, a hostage.

Could) If you are taken hostage in your practice, you will get stifled growth, deliver to fewer patients (all do more to stagnate, decay, and lose sight of your higher purpose. You could even lose your passion for the art of chiropractic healing.

Although there are many examples of external forces, hostage taking, you also have family and friends, the gravest form of hostage-taking are, if you take a hostage and move with some urgency. You’re not in the groove of things and in many cases do not even try something new, different, bigger, better and bolder.

Procrastination is like a cancer. It can spread and dominate a course of action. It is too easy to give up things because you are so many things that are not deleted from your list hesitation. The list gets longer fair!

I could swap stories of Chiropreneurs, months and even years before their move from procrastination to action. And the reason is always the same: “I waited for the right time.”

There is never a good or perfect time to put an end to abductions. You must be cold turkey. NOW! I waited to improve the economy. I waited until I had more income. I waited, gave up my practice more money. Yada. Yada. Yada. Select one, you cannot have both. Procrastination begins with an apology.

Procrastination is often dealing with excuses such as research hidden due diligence, timing, partners, family, friends and patients. Successful people never allow excuses to determine their success. They understand the reasons or recipes, but they cannot have one and not two.

Warren Buffet has invested hundreds of millions in a company after reading a letter of two pages … without even a glance at the financial statements? Warren is the third richest billionaire in the world.

How many times have you believe that the CEO of a Fortune 500 company checks with spouse in deciding on the company? Compare your answer, how many times a Chiropreneur seeks advice from a spouse to take a decision on this practice. Success leaves traces, as the defeat leaves notes. I understand that you should not be a Fortune 500 company, but the size of the practice does not affect your decision and your leadership. No, I’m not trying to create discord between the spouses. But here’s the reality, is the prospect of a spouse often in direct conflict with the needs of your practice. No deliberate or malicious, just the opposite view. It can be as simple as: new kitchen for your home instead of marketing for new patients.

In fact … This is one reason why you should never have a spouse works in practice. It is not easy to create an environment conducive to growth. The main title is diluted, especially with other employees.

If you tend to hesitate, you’re a hostage. They are held captive by an external force and internal. The longer you are detained, the more you need to achieve the desired result.

Procrastination is a habit. You may have developed as a child or an adult. People who have a penchant for action, quick decisions tend to get more. Those who seek to push the security of the burner.

You can not hesitate to commit them to greatness. You need to escape your prison. You need to prevent a hostage.

Start small. Complete. Start small. Complete. Develop a new habit, just do it. Do this and you need no longer be a hostage.

If you have a basic belief, passion and inspiration, you can overcome procrastination. You can break the bonds that you have your back.

Another comment I heard often: “You mean, I would have this way a year ago, the answer is yes, you’ve only lost $ 200,000 U.S., which you can never recover.

How are you losing because of procrastination? You will be amazed! No one is immune. The crossing takes about something, the more it will cost you emotionally and financially.

Frankly, it might be too late for some of you. They have a hostage for so long that they now recognize hostage-taker in your file. You buy in a sense, prevention is better than cure. Do not hurt me … I have more.

Start to develop habits of success. The next time you move even a thought of something, forcing you later, just do it. Get it done. Even if you miss something you want. You are the boss, the CEO of your practice. Lead. Let actions defeat procrastination.
