Best Career for Me

November 27, 2009 by

Taking a fresh and fragrant, I grabbed the door handle anxiety and moved into a new and exciting time of my life. The weight stacks of papers drew on my towel, my little trot down the hall from my classroom.

The corridor was not the same as I remembered it was past eight years. He was bursting with young people full of life and excitement. Now the corridor is, with its freshly painted cabinets and floors freshly polished empty. As I walked past him to the gym and the boys’ locker room, I have a new perfume. It was a nice change from the smell of sweat that usually accompanies the field.

When I turned the corner, I saw the 218th space large white figures are bold against the black oak. When I entered the room a touch of excitement increased throughout the body. I looked around the plain little room, where I spend the next nine months to inspire young minds.

My eyes were then drawn around a rectangular table and a chair across the room. I jumped on the flac-on chair to support my feet on the desk. In thirty minutes the room was full of thirty tired, angry-looking young people, so they had to get up early for the first day at school, and I would encourage them to learn.

I thought if I was your age. The last two years at school have been fully verified with ACT, packaged tests and appointments. This was also the time when I had a choice that would affect the rest of my life. It was the most important decision I’ll ever do to be happy and successful, and it was a career choice.

Little does anyone realize, but the day they are in their kindergarten class, they prepare for adulthood. Each passing year, they are a step closer to a career. Then, before they know it is time to take the big decision based on their interests and abilities.

Now I’m here on my first day as a teacher. I worked hard to get where I am, and this is only the beginning of an exciting new chapter of my life.

Suddenly a shrill voice followed by the sound of slamming lockers, interrupting my thoughts. As established by students in the class, I knew that I choose the right career. Even if they do not want to learn, I am for the challenge and opportunity to inspire them with joy. All my insecurities about my career choice disappeared. Teaching is my love and my passion. I am determined to help these students realize their full potential.
